There are around twenty different beaches to choose from along the shores of Lake Mälaren and the banks of Eskilstunaån (the Eskilstuna river). Below you'll find information about some of the most popular beaches in Eskilstuna.

Sundbyholm
12 kilometers from the central parts of Eskilstuna lies Sundbyholm, with Mälaren's longest natural sandy beach. There is a large bathing dock, changing rooms, a barbecue area, toilets, a handicap ramp and a kiosk/restaurant. Next to the beach there is a playground for children to enjoy.

Vilsta
Vilsta, located 4 kilometers from the city center, features a beautiful sandy shoreline and an enclosed area for children, as well as a bathing dock for those who prefer to jump into the water without wading in. The area also provides changing rooms, access to toilets and benches.

Mälarbaden
Large family friendly beach at Mälarbadens camping, located 5 km north of Torshälla. At Mälarbaden you'll find a sandy beach, bathing dock, ice cream kiosk, barbecue areas, toilets, benches, and a small playground.

Borsökna
The beach in Borsökna is located 7 kilometers away from the city center. It has a gently sloping sandy shoreline leading down to the bathing dock. It offers a great view of the swimming area, making it easy to watch over children while they swim. There is also access to a toilet at the beach.
